Preschool and playground

A good friend of mine in Latvia was willing to start a small preschool for Lincoln and Sawyer and a couple of other boys. She had done it in Nevada many times and loved it. This one was a little different. She had such a variety of ages that it made it much harder. All boys: 2, 3, 3, 4, 5 years old. We were so happy they had a good preschool to go to, but poor Melinda Bailey had her work cut out for her. Needless to say, she is not doing it again. The Bailey's arrived in Latvia a year after we did. They are also LDS and go to the Latvian branch. It is so nice to have another LDS family in the post. They have older kids: Luke 15, Anna 14, Molly 12 and Daisy 9. The big kids would babysit for us and that was so nice. The boys especially loved it when Luke would come, he would wrestle them all the time.
So Melinda would have preschool 2 times a week for 2 1/2 hours. They also had a do "Skittle" Sawyer just loved "Skittle" and as you can see Isabel did also. Skittle was an older dog and would often just sit next to Sawyer during preschool. They were such good friends. He even to concerned when Sawyer would get hurt. So cute, it sure makes you want to get a dog. Isabel also just loved the dog, but got too close a couple of time and got scratched, but that did not scare her, she still loves dogs and wants to hug them. We need to be careful when she sees dogs, she goes a little crazy.

The is the last day of preschool, Melinda was showing the moms what the kids did everyday. She did such a great job, but it was not easy. Lincoln would get mad when the little kids would not cooperate, Sawyer would just sit by Skittle, but the other boys would run around too much. It think it worked out fine, but harder than Melinda thought it was going to be. In Nevada she would always teach 5 year olds. Much easier!
Here we are at one of the playgrounds by our apartment.
Having a picnic on the grass is kind of unheard of in Latvia. When we first moved in we saw a ton of "don't walk on the grass" signs. But It seems as if they took those down. But you will never see Latvians laying on the grass having a picnic. I'm sure we got many strange looks.

As you can see, she just loves dogs...
