Kindergarten

I can't believe Lincoln is already in Kindergarten. Since I am a little behind, he has already been going for almost 2 months. He really really likes it, even though it is a really long week. The bus picks him up at 8:20 and he comes home at 4pm. It is a really long day. He has a short day on Wednesday, getting home around 1:30. He is learning a ton and making new friends. I really like how Mt. Daniel does Kindergarten. They only have Kindergarten and 1st grade in his school. And the first two weeks of kindergarten are short, the first 2 days only 1 hour, the rest of the week and the next they were out at 12pm. It was really nice, especially for Lincoln, to have a slow introduction to kindergarten. He never had anything formal for preschool, so I'm so glad they eased him in. He hasn't complained about going in the morning, that's a good thing!

His first day was a little surprise, we moved in on Sunday, september 4th, monday was a holiday, and school started on tuesday. They said he couldn't go on tuesday because we had to come in person to register, so we just came to register him, not expecting them to let him go to class. But it was really easy to register him, and we had all the info, so they said he could go to class. Lincoln didn't want to, he was nervous, but we walked down the hall and found his class. The Cat in the Hat room! He was excited about that. Once we got in the classroom he completely forgot about us. He just started exploring and playing with something. So we left and he didn't even care. And that was that, he loves it!
