Seriously?????

Ok, so I have been in Latvia for the past, almost 2 years, it has been about 17 months since I have been in the states. Really weird when I think about it like that. I spent about the same amount of time on my mission in Novosibirsk, I came home to everyone using cell phones and my brother grew about 2 feet. So what has changed since we have been gone. I sure hope this hasn't. You see, in Latvia, women here wear the most ridiculous high heeled shoes, with everything, and everywhere. They wear them at the park with their kids, they wear them in the dead of winter, walking on ice everywhere, they wear them walking on these terrible cobble stone streets in Old Town. They wear them to the carnival. I mean, women here dress up all the time, they walk around in short dresses and high heeled shoes, walking next to a kid in jeans and a t-shirt. Very strange. I do think it is fun to dress up some times, but high heels all the time? Seriously. I almost think that these girls here has the same problem the chinese did with binding their feet. It has to be almost as bad, some of these shoes I see here I just can't believe they are walking in them. My brother says this is the trend in Utah, jeans and high heeled shoes. So who knows, maybe Iļl get back to the states and decide I need to get me a pair......

you won't see me in them very often even though I do love to dress up. Funny that they do it everywhere over there.
