Chinese New Year!!! (February 2014)

So I never finished some of these blogposts from a while ago.  But today, we just got new internet and it is supposed to work much faster.  So here is the test.  It gets so frustrating when it takes forever to write my blog and upload pictures, but I think things will be much better, hopefully, going forward!

So, for Chinese New Year, the kids wore their chinese costumes to school.  The kids had a whole week off for the New Year.  We spent the actual new years eve at our friends house, Katheryn Ellison.  Mabel LOVES Katheryn, she always wants her to hold her.  We played games, the kids watched Frozen, and yes we got a copy from one of the stores here, much earlier than in America!!!  So the kids watched Frozen, we played board games and then we shot off fireworks.  Kelly and Jake almost killed themselves, but luckily no one was hurt.  They don't really have that many restrictions here!!!  At midnight it sounded like we were in a war zone as all the fireworks went off around the city!!!  We also made time to make the traditional chinese food for chinese new year, dumplings, yum yum!!
