Grandma and Grandpa Busby come!

After my mom left, Kelly's parents came. First we celebrated Sawyer and Grandma's birthdays. They wanted to celebrate Sawyer's a little early because they never get to be with him on his birthday, so he got an early cake. They brought him a P38 Lightning airplane model to assemble with grandpa. It was not an easy task. It got a little messed up, especially after Sawyer started taking the pieces out of the package, grandpa couldn't find what number they were. But it didn't turn out too bad, minus a cockpit, the plane was still pretty cool. Sawyer sure loves doing this with his grandpa. My grandpa on my mom's side flew a P38 during WWII.

Grandma's birthday present.

Making a book with Lincoln about the "luke de Lu". It is an animal grandpa made up and the stories get pretty scary. The kids were scared to go outside sometimes in Arizona. Gail and John go on hikes all the time in the desert and they took pictures of the desert. With these pictures Lincoln and Grandma are in the process of telling the "luke de Lu" story.

Granny Gail has developed quite a sewing talent. She is really amazing. I am so impressed with what she has been doing. Here are the latest of her work. She made a crayon apron for Izzy's birthday, an Airplane pillow for Sawyer, an AMAZING TREX pillow for Lincoln and this Beautiful quilt for Mabel. She is pretty talented. The neighbor kids came over while she was sewing with the kids and they all wanted to make something with her. She was quite the hit.
