Cherry Blossom Festival!

Today we went to the Cherry Blossom Festival in DC.  It was a very windy and much colder than I thought day.  We took the metro down and brought our big double stroller.  At first it was fine on the metro, but the metro got busier and busier and I thought people were getting pretty angry because we had this huge stroller blocking everyone's way.  The poor people who were around the stroller, they were getting squished.  People kept coming on the train and they kept pushing, but didn't realize a stroller was blocking the way.  We finally made it off the train and went to the parade first.  Lincoln liked watching the policemen, and the horses and the bands.  Sawyer was pretty interested also.  We left early and went to the American History museum to get warm and eat lunch.  Luckily we did that because by the time we left the place was packed.  They had lines for all the exhibits.  It was crazy.  I've never seen the museum so busy.  We left and walked around looking at the cherry blossoms.  It was so beautiful.  I love this time of year.  Here are some of the pictures I took.  I would like to go back next week and take some better ones of the boys though.
It was 3:30 by the time we got home, Sawyer was so tired.  He napped a little in the stroller, but that was all.  We missed the first session of General Conference, but made it back for the second session.  Sawyer was too tired to fall asleep so we decided to let him stay up till 5:30 and then just go down for the night.  So we had both boys in our room watching Conference on our computer.  It didn't work so well.  The boys were too tired and it is very hard to entertain them in our room.  At 5:30 Kelly gave them a bath and as he was getting the boys out Sawyer hit his mouth on the tub.  It bled for a while and he was pretty upset.  It was really hard to get him to sleep because he was overly tired and his mouth hurt.  So needless to say, our day was pretty crazy.  We ran out the door to got to the festival, got home tried to watch conference and Sawyer got hurt so it took a long time to get the boys to bed.  Kind of crazy.  Hopefully it won't be so crazy tomorrow when we watch Sunday's conference.
