Happy 3rd Birthday Lincoln!!!

Lincoln turned 3 on December 27th.  He had another dinosaur cake.  This time without the volcano, he didn't really like when I put the volcano on the last one.  He only wanted it GREEN.  I bought him this huge T-REX for his birthday, he really loved it.  I think 3 is a great age.  Very emotional and hard, but it is nice because I think you can reason with them more.  We finally got rid of his paci's on his birthday.  We had been talking about it for a long time and telling him on his birthday the paci fairy was going to come and take his paci's and give them to all the babies around the work who need paci's.  We said that Sawyer doesn't need a paci though because he just likes his doggy he sleeps with.  Anyway, he was really excited about it.  I was worried because he was getting over an ear infection and two days later we were going to fly to Utah to visit my family and Lincoln was so emotional all Christmas and especially on his birthday.  Welcome to being 3, man it's hard sometimes.  Anyway, I asked him if he wanted to ask the paci fairy to come after we get back from Utah and he said "NO!!!!"  So we found all his paci's and put them in a little box.  He sat in a corner for a while sucking on all his paci's, one last time.  Them we put the box outside and a few hours later we heard a noise!   The paci fairy had come and taken his paci's away to the babies.  She left a note and Thanked Lincoln for his paci's.  She also left him 2 packages of M&Ms.  His favorite candy.  He was so excited.  That night he jumped into bed and asked where his paci's were.  I reminded him that we gave them to the paci fairy.  He said "she's an angel" and smiled, (I printed a picture of the paci fairy on the note she left him and she had wings, so Lincoln says she's an angel.)  Well, that was the end of Lincoln's paci's.  I couldn't believe it, he never cried for them or even asked for them.  He was totally addicted to his paci's, so I was amazed how easy it was to get rid of them.  I can just say that 3 is a magical age!
