RIGA, LATVIA

Congrats Angie, you win the prize, we are going to Latvia.  We are so excited.  This was actually our first choice, pretty amazing that we got it.  We were getting worried because we were one of the last one's to get our flag and the only ones they had left were Mexico and India.  We wanted Latvia because about 20% of the population speak Russian, so I could use my Russian and the job was really perfect for Kelly.  It is a split tour which means the first year Kelly works with Visa's, then the second year he gets to do some political stuff.  We don't leave till October, so that is a good thing.  Kelly will get job training and then language training for a while, so we will be in Virginia for a little while longer.  So basically we know where we will be for the next 6 years.  We will be here till October, then in Latvia for 2 years, then we come back for a few months and then off to someplace in China.  Kelly passed his Chinese test and he got extra points so he has to go to China either his first tour of the second.  So since we will be in Latvia first, we will be in China next.  Since he already speaks some Chinese, he won't need much language training so we won't be in the US for very long in between tours.  So start saving so you can come and visit us in Latvia.
