Santa Clause

We went to 2 Christmas Parties a couple of weeks ago. One was the Embassy Children's Holiday Party at the Ambassadors house and the other was a German Christmas Party with St. Nick. The party at the Ambassadors house was really nice. The kids decorated ginger bread cookies, played games and got to sit on Santa's lap. The marines played Santa and his elf. It's not everyday you see an Elf with huge biceps and a tatoo! I guess Santa needs protection. The second party we went to was a friend of ours from Germany, they wanted to have a traditional party with St. Nick bringing gifts to put inside kids shoes. He usually comes on Dec 6th. I remember living in Germany as a child and we would leave our wooden shoes out at night on the 6th and they would be filled with treats in the morning.
