Lincoln updates

Lincoln, Lincoln, Lincoln.  We sure love our Lincoln.  He is growing so fast!  He is such a tall boy for his age.  He is in the 95% for height.  I bought pants for him at Christmas time and they are all too short, but he has to still wear them because I don't want to buy anymore till the fall.  His shirts are getting too short also.  It is time to go shopping.  He is so funny.  When we first moved here a friend of his, Hannah, she goes to church with him and lives upstairs.  She is in the 1st grade, but only a couple months older than Lincoln.  She said she thought Lincoln was in 2nd grade when she met him, and he has never forgotten that!  "I look like I'm in second grade!".  Sometimes he changes the story to 3rd grade.  It's so fun to watch him going to school for the first time.  Meeting all these new friends.  He has such a fun personality.  He has 3 really good friends in class, Jose, David and Jack.  He learned how to spell all of their first and last names.  He brings home papers often with all their names on them.  He told me he wanted to keep it to remember his friends when we are in China.  He is really going to miss those boys.  They have a lot of fun together.  Lincoln is very sensitive to what is right and wrong.  He never wants to get in trouble at school.  They have colors in the classroom.  They all start on green and if they act out it goes to yellow, then red.  I think he has only had yellow a few times, he mostly stays on green.  And it is very important for him to stay on green.  He wanted us to start doing it at home too.  So when they go to bed I tell them what color they are on.  I meant to make a chart, but never did, but it doesn't seem to matter, I just tell them they might get a yellow and they take it seriously.  Especially Sawyer, he always asks what color he is on.  (we'll see how long this lasts).

Lincoln loves Star Wars.  He has only gotten through the "snow monster" one, but is carefully making his way through some other ones.  His Daddy loves to watch it with them, and they are getting braver.

He LOVES LOVES LOVES to play computer games and the Wii and the ipad.  We only let them play the Wii every other week so they won't be so obsessed.  But he also loves to play the games on PBS kids, especially "Wild Krats"  It is kind of embarrassing because whenever  he draws or writes things at school he always talks about video games.  They probably think he is always playing them.  But we only let him do it a little bit, he is just a little obsessed.

Lincoln says he always has to run away from the girls at school since they all want to hug the boys and tell them they are going to marry him.  Girls are so funny, so different from boys.  Luckily we just bought him some really cool and fast running shoes to run away from those girls.

Lincoln is a pretty smart kid.  The teacher says he is always sharing information with the class.  He is in  an advanced math class and doing pretty good.  He is learning to read and getting better every day.  He reads a BoB book every night with his Daddy.  He is almost done with all the BoB books.

Lincoln loves basketball, but not soccer.

He loves national geographic shows.  He is just like his Dad, he just Loves to Learn.  He does not like any show that has any love story in it.  So that pretty much eliminates all the Disney Movies.

Lincoln is a big helper and loves playing with Sawyer and Izzy, he also LOVES teasing them.  Depending on his mood, he is either helping Izzy dress her baby, or running around the apartment with her baby while she chases him crying.

Lincoln is very shy, until he sees his friends.  He is always hesitant to run around with the kids at the bus stop, until he sees the kids he plays with in his class.  First it was Malia, they sure loved playing with each other, she wanted to marry him, She is in St. Petersburg right now.  Now is Jose.

We sure love our Lincoln!  We are so grateful his is part of our family.

This is Lincoln and his cousin Luke.  They are such good friends.  We have seen they quite a few times this last year and it has been so much fun.

He does not like to pose for pictures, he is always doing silly things.  Silly Lincoln.

Crazy hat day!  He was so excited to make it, then got shy and wanted me to take his hat back home when he got to the bus stop, but luckily I talked him into keeping it.  He looked pretty cool I'd have to say!
